As part of my degree I needed a powerful PC for CAD, Simulation and rendering softwares, I therefore decided to build the best PC I could for a limited budget. All the parts in this build were researched in depth and the CPU and RAM were overclocked manually to gain extra performance increase at no extra cost.

The parts used in this PC build were:

CPU: Intel 4690K overclocked manually to 4.60 GHz (20% perfromance increase)

GPU: EVGA 760 Overclocked edition
Motherboard: Asus VII Gene
Ram: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Manually overclocked for 5% increase.

Storage: Samsung Evo 840 250GB

Case: Corsair 350D Windowed

PSU: EVGA 650W Modular

Cooler: Corsair H60

Monitors: Dell U2515H & UU2414H

 

Overall the project was a succsess the PC runs at 32 degrees idle and 61 degrees at full load which is well within the operating temperature limits.
