The aim of this project was simple, re-design a mechanical pen consisting of 9 components for mass manufacture in order to reduce cost of assembly. The re-designed solution consisted of 4 parts and dramatically reduced the overall assembly time and estimated assembly cost using a Boothroyd analysis.
